An admitted attorney who holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Public Administration & Politics) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, both from UCT.

He also a number of certificates in various fields, like commercial law, risk management, general business management and corporate governance.

He was admitted as an attorney in February 2005 and has since practiced as a commercial attorney for a number of law firms. At his former law firm, he became the youngest Director/Partner at the age of 27 and has operated at senior management level for approximately 10 years.

 

Over the years, he has gained extensive expertise in the fields of general corporate commercial practice, contract drafting and negotiation, property law, BBBEE and corporate governance. His clients included (and still include) property developers, banks, various trusts, IT companies, actuarial companies and other large and small and medium corporate entities. He was personally responsible for the drafting of the Memorandum of Incorporation (“MOI”) for the Cape Chamber of Commerce, which replaced a Constitution that has been in existence for over 100 years. He also was responsible for the drafting of the MOI for the Black Management Forum.

 

From 2014 he has been working as a Legal Coordinator and Property Manager for Chevron (a.k.a. Caltex) where he is responsible for Africa, Middle East, and Pakistan (AMEP) Region. In this role, he is responsible for approximately 350 Caltex service stations, from negotiating the property deals to negating the various fuel supply agreements.  In addition, he advises other business units, like Retail Sales, commercial and industrial customers business unit, brand and finance departments.
